Look twice.Bid once.

Auction photos are taken to sell cars. Our inspections are done to protect your money. Before we recommend a bid, we look for what the listing does not mention — flood lines, hidden repaints, warning codes and mismatched panels.

  1. 01

    Diagnostic scan

We plug in an OBD-II scanner and record active, pending and recently cleared trouble codes.

  2. 02

    Paint and panel readings

A paint thickness gauge reveals refinished panels and filler that photos hide.

  3. 03

    Flood and fire signs

We check carpets, seat rails, the spare-tire well and wiring for water lines, silt and corrosion.

  4. 04

    Mechanical walk-around

Fluids, tyres, brakes, suspension, leaks and, where the yard allows it, a start-and-idle check.

  5. 05

    Photo report

You receive a written summary with 30+ close-up photos and our bid / pass recommendation.

  • Buyers comparing two similar lots
  • Rebuilders who need an accurate repair estimate
  • Out-of-state buyers purchasing in California

“The inspection report had forty photos and pointed out a repainted door the listing never mentioned. We adjusted the bid and still got a great car.”

Questions

About pre-bid vehicle inspection.

Can you inspect cars outside Los Angeles?

We inspect personally across Southern California. For other states we coordinate a trusted independent inspector and review their findings with you.

Can you start the engine?

Some yards allow start-and-idle checks and some do not. We tell you exactly what was possible on the day and what the auction reported.

Do I have to use your bidding service to book an inspection?

No. Inspections are available on their own if you prefer to place the bid yourself.
